Day 1& 2- Arrival at Zurich

We landed in Zurich, one of the beautiful cities of Switzerland and it marks the starting point of our journey. We stayed at the most luxurious hotel in the town Widder Hotel and it was a 2-night stay. From their rooms to their food and ambiance, everything was on-point. After coming from the flight, you should rest and take today’s day to relieve your tiredness. Take a train to Zermatt from Zurich Main Station and it will take you there in 3 hrs and 12 mins. You can get a ticket ranging from 52 EURO to 70 EURO. During this train trip, enjoy the mesmerizing views of the landscape and mountain region.

After reaching the Zermatt station, we prefer to take a shuttle bus service to reach our hotel. For Zermatt, we had chosen Hotel Matterhorn Focus which is one of the finest hotels in Zermatt. Take a quick nap and shower and don’t just sit in your room. Time is short and there is a lot to explore in this city.

The very first place that you should visit is the Matterhorn Museum, a small yet interesting museum showcasing the history of Matterhorn and the life around it.
Then you should hurry and book a cable car ride at Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and let me tell you this ride will going to be the best cable car ride of your life.
To have a birds-eye view of Zermatt you should hop on to Gornergrat railway train to get the jaw-dropping views of Matterhorn and also enjoy hiking, dining, and wildlife spotting here.
If you have visited in winter, don’t miss the ski experience here which is simply out of this world.

End the 2^nd day of 7 days Switzerland honeymoon itinerary with a candle-lit dinner at one of the famous restaurants in Zermatt: Findlerhof. Try their veal chops and spiced wine, you would love it.

For the next day, you should pack your bags for another train ride to Interlaken.

Day 4- Move to Interlaken

The distance between Zermatt and Interlaken is somewhat 74-75km and by train, it will take around 2 hrs and 40 mins to reach. Book your tickets in advance and you will get a ticket from 26-33 EURO.

We had booked Hotel Du Nord which is located in the center of Interlaken. Get off the train at OST station from where the hotel is a few mins away on foot or you can take a bus too.

Rest if you want to, take a short nap, unpack a little, and then go for the city tour in the afternoon.

Go to Lake Brienz and enjoy the water sports there. Go for kayaking and surfing and soak yourself up in the sun with a romantic sidewalk on its shore.
Are you guys ready for some adventure? Experience the thrilling paragliding with the pilot and have a magical view of the valley from the sky.
Then you can also visit Hohematte Park and enjoy the plethora of activities including horse carriage and Ferris wheel riding.
You can end your evening by taking sips of coffee or tea at the best coffee shop: Velo Café.
Then at night, go to the Touristik Museum and explore the nightlife of Interlaken.

Day 5- Explore Bern

The best way to reach any of the famous cities in Switzerland is by train. Our next stop was Bern, the capital city of Switzerland and remarkably one of the most beautiful capitals of the World.

The train trip from Interlaken OST station to Bern will take less than an hour around 52- 55 mins and you will get 30 direct trains every weekday.

Arrive at the Bern station and take a taxi to your hotel to put your luggage in the room and move on to explore the city. We had chosen Prizeotel Bern Hotel for our stay here.

I will advise you to skip the rest part because your 7 days Switzerland honeymoon itinerary is near its end and enjoy your stay in Bern to the fullest.

Firstly, head towards the Bern old town which is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will get a beautiful view of the city from here and is famous for its landmarks including the Clock Tower, old statues, and stunning bridges over the blue waters of the Aare River. Walk in the main streets of this old town and mesmerize by the picturesque nature of the buildings here.
You will see the whole city is filled with around 100 fountains but the most famous among them are 11 Renaissance fountains in the city center. You should go there to see those fountains.
Next, you should climb up to the Tower of Berner Munster from where you can get a 360 view of all the city including the Bern old town.
If you are in Bern and love history. You must go to place is Einstein Museum and Einstein House and explore the audacity of these places.
For dinner, dine in at the top-rated restaurant of Bern: Wein & Sein and enjoy the Caviar there.

Day 6- Last stop Geneva

Get up early in the morning and take a train to Geneva. Till now you must have become a pro at booking tickets for a train. It will take 1 hr and 44 mins to reach Geneva and this journey again is through the beautiful landscapes and mountains on the horizon.

Upon reaching Geneva, head straight to your hotel. On our honeymoon, we stayed at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. You can relax and rest for a while before heading out to explore the city of Geneva.

Start your city tour from the Museum of Geneva and then to Ariana Museum, and from there you should go explore the Chapel of Maccabees.
In the evening head to Lake Geneva to enjoy some adrenaline-pumping water activities like paddle boarding and sit down near the lake to soothe your nerves by watching the beautiful sunset.
When near Lake Geneva, don’t forget to witness the beauty of Jet D’Eau Geneva, the water jet fountain on Lake Geneva.
Don’t miss the chance to visit the United Nations office in Geneva where a lot of people gather and roam around its chambers and explore the stunning gardens here.
As this is the last night of your trip, make it memorable by exploring the nightclubs and bars in Geneva.
